Giving is living!!!!!
Generosity is repentance from poverty that is-changing from a poverty mindset to a prosperity mindset. Giving is the faith key that unlocks what God has already provided for us and we can only give depending on how much we appreciate the love of God for us.
When we give, we do not move God into providing for us but rather get involved in what He has already done for us in Christ Jesus. In addition, Pr. Moses Mukisa also discourages being coarsed into giving by saying, ”People who give because they have been threatened that God is unhappy, have to be kept in that state of fear to keep them giving.” Therefore, our giving should not be motivated by emotional stories or threats.
We should give with a mindset that we are kings and generosity is the culture and practice of kings!
We need to note that; Giving attracts the Kings favor, it acknowledges that GOD owns everything and we are stewards. It is also a form of thanks giving and showing love. When you give; you solve problems, cause others to give and also contribute to the expansion of the ministry of God on earth-God’s Kingdom expansion.!!
God also says in 2 Corinthians 9:10-11 (NIV)“Now He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. 11 You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.”
Hence we get enriched in everything and people start giving thanks to God for our lives when we live a life filled with generosity.
In conclusion, God calls us His ambassadors on earth. We are therefore citizens of the country of Heaven doing our assignment on earth. This means we ought to be generous givers just like how God our King is; bearing in mind that we have access to the wealth of Heaven which is eternal……
