Of changes

Today I choose to share a piece of me.

At the start of August, I expected new beginnings and definitely knew that they would come with certain changes.

At the time of revelation, I did not know that my music taste was going to change too. Yes, it has changed…

I have this friend of mine who before this pandemic took me for rock night at Najjera Gardens just to chill. While there I was captivated by most of the songs…I literally hummed to most of them even when I was hearing them for the first time… To sum it up, it was lovely time spent listening and singing out loud amazing music.

Long story short, I recently developed peculiar interest in rock/soul/country kind of music and trust me I am enjoying it and my heart is at peace.
My friend(mentioned above) was so generous to share his top 10 list with me and below are 5 of the songs that I love and listen to in my chill moments;

🔴 Down to the river to pray by Wanda Vick.
This reminds me of the notion, “Read your Bible and Pray everyday”

🔴 Someday by Nickelback.
This song feeds my hope.

🔴 Echo by Trapt.
This song reminds me of the beauty of loving and humbly pursuing relationships.

🔴 September by Daughtry.
This one just takes me back in time. I get to ponder on the good times and be grateful. They are worth remembering.

🔴 Drops of Jupiter by Train.
This reminds me of the art in music and the interesting use of words.

In my world, music is therapy!
The next time we go on chill, don’t be shocked by the change in my taste of music (especially those who know me physically).
Change is a fact of life and we can only embrace it by dropping the bad/ undesirable and taking on the good/desirable/right.
That is my partial list, feel free to check out some of the songs and enjoy.

➡️What is your kind of music in this season…?

Let’s keep living!!!🎻🎻🎻

    Music is definitely therapy😌

My playlist is always changing but the genres are the same. RnB. Soul. Classic. Small small hip hop. The way I listen to it all has changed. More reflective.

    Thank you for sharing 😊
