WHEN IT ENDS IN TEARS

#Life

“You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream.”- C. S. Lewis

Strategic plans and map reviews,
The time to attack is drawing nigh,
Strongest warriors assemble in line,
War, Guns and Violence, and war cry,
Wailing everywhere, everyone scampering about,
Machine guns and SMGs firing in the night,

The state of my heart, confused as ever,
Not knowing how to go about,
My first attempt at capturing her heart,
One whose gaze permeates my soul,
Whose presence causes churns,
And leaves me at cupid’s mercy.

The war within numbs my senses,
Death within, life without, we call it pretense.
Fighting for dear life, not wanting to let go
We’re in too deep now, I have to say it,
Those three words weigh heavy on most,
And sometimes leave you feeling lost,
But we ought to count the cost, of silence.

There, I said it,
The weight which was is gone,
But now have to deal with the weight which is,
She said No. I’m gutted,
But have to move on,
Doesn’t warrant the marriage of rope and neck,
We strive on, heaven is the goal.

The storm has passed, the sun is shining again,
Calm is restored, a new ray of hope,
Knowledge defeats ignorance,
It’s good to know the NO,
The world in me is opening up for another,
Oh NO! War again…
…Whenever I see her face or feel her presence,
Fearing to lose the battle again,
And the vicious cycle starts again.
