The Beauty of Life

#CourageousJourney

Life is a road with roses that come bearing thorns on their stalks
Life is a landscape with both hills and valleys
Life is an expanse that releases both sunshine and rain
Life is a moment that has both ups and downs.
Life is like a lake that is sometimes at peace and other times experiences storms
Life basically operates in seasons; both good and bad…
Sometimes, it is easy to tread and other times it is difficult

For example;

  • Sometimes, we may live to see our great grandchildren while in other moments, our children might pass on before even getting married or us dying at an early age
  • Sometimes we might start businesses that thrive and other moments they might collapse and leave us bankrupt
  • Sometimes we might write the bestselling book and other moments no one may buy our content for some time until a breakthrough moment shows up
  • Sometimes we are the stars and other times we have to bow to other stars.
  • Sometimes we enjoy long lasting friendships and other moments our friends betray us….

This therefore reminds me to pause and inquire; “Who told us that life will never be difficult sometimes?”
Who told us that people will never die or we shall never fail or start businesses and make losses? Whoever told us this, lied to us.

Life is not a straight path all through, there are humps and bumps. Sometimes, there are even potholes.

But the beauty is that, we still manage to walk through it and get to our destinations. We are naturally wired to handle all situations that life throws at us. There is sufficient grace for each of us for all the different seasons.

Have you ever wondered why you will think of ways of finding food when you get hungry? It is because inherently, we are wired to try to handle both moments. Your body will work towards resting when satisfied, and when hungry it will push you towards hunting for food. It does not change per say, it stays being the body both when satisfied or hungry … And likewise we ought to be like this, let us not grow gloomy because it is tough least we invite stress related problems and health concerns. You can cry and after get up and apply your lip gloss. This is all what courage / being courageous means. Holding your peace even through the storm.

Weapons will always be formed BUT they won’t prosper!!!

I think all we need to come to terms with is the fact that like good times always come, bad times will too. All we need is to be able to identify what season we are in and know what tools to apply. This actually makes me believe it was the sole purpose for Christ promising to send us a helper – The Holy Spirit. He knew that we would get to stormy moments where we would need help.

In this walk of life, we need to make the Holy Spirit our friend. He is our comforter and helper. Our number one encourager who will stand by our side in all seasons. We also need to live with the hope that there is no permanent situation in life. I also like to tell my best friend that, we need to schedule our celebration moments because bad moments already have set their own schedule. We may not know when we shall die but since we know when we were born, why not celebrate. Why not celebrate the small wins, aren’t they worth it? The beauty of celebrating is that it gives you the strength to go through the tough times. It is the testimony of your previous healing that will give you the hope and courage to believe that the illness that has attacked you now will also go. No wonder, God said that we overcome by the power of our testimony!

  • Are you in stormy moments, be encouraged that that too shall pass
  • Have you failed an examination? Have hope that you shall pass the next examination. All you need is to put in more effort, read more and seek for more wisdom.
  • Has your business failed, be strong. Analyze what went wrong, start all over again with better principles and systems and watch yourself soar on wings like eagles.
  • It is not like bad seasons last forever, there is always light at the end of the tunnel.

Are you in a happy season, rejoice and be glad. Keep watching and praying, always learning and working towards being better. Remember to also share your testimony and help others get better too.

In conclusion; Life can be glossy and messy. The wisdom is in you knowing the season you are in, applying the right measures and living with the hope that it always gets better because we are overcomers. We know how the story ends and we shall see victory.

And like my friend always writes,

Child of God;
Regardless of the season be encouraged that one day you shall win, thrive and succeed because it is your father’s pleasure to give you the kingdom.

And that is the beauty of life!

May the peace of the Lord be with you!
I love you!
