STOCK TAKING 26

2021 #Bearing_Fruit #Because #I_choose_to_abide #Afrobloggers #Joy

Hello Hello,

I am seated on my bed , wearing a big smile and listening to music as bring you the stock taking for last month.

August

… was a glorious month, one where I got onto various journeys of new beginnings, had to live courageously and also received beautiful and timely gifts. It was also a month with various birthdays of beautiful women that is Pollet,Lutgard, Anita and Murriel. These are mighty women of valor sharing their great gifts with the world in amazing ways. I pray God’s favor, protection and excellence upon their lives.

I surely started the month with good news and ended it in even a greater glory. All I can say is that God is always faithful till the end, all we need to do is to trust, obey and wait for Him. He always shows up and shows up mega.

Therefore; Here is how August unfolded in my world;

I was;

Loving: The progress and growth of my blog. I love the habit of being consistent with when I post articles that I am slowly and steadily nurturing. It has indeed helped me deliver better work. I also thank you so much for always passing by to read, like, comment and share my work. You are the real deal and I come bearing good news, last month we hit 10,000 all-time views and this I have you to thank. Each day you find encouragement or help or hope or reminders or love from what I write, my heart smiles.

🥳🥳🥳

Making: More time for God through weekly devotions, prayer and quiet moments. God is my father and if there is one thing I have learned in this life, it is to spend more time with my father because in His presence there is fullness of joy, peace and love. Each time I spend with me leaves me yearning to get closer and closer to Him.

Eating: A lot of boiled natural foods like matooke, sweet potatoes and vegetables or groundnut paste. Junk is not my portion, I only do it when dealing with cravings.

Drinking: A lot of water and millet porridge. These have become a constant and my body is happy with them. Hold on!!! I have not had coffee in a while, maybe I should go on a coffee date soon.

Reading: A chunk of books, many blogs, articles and academic papers. Reading is my other love language. And in August I read a book with one of my closest friends that is – “The First Woman” by Jennifer Nansubuga Makumbi and I will one day share our thoughts on it after my meetup with my friend. Just to note;

Friends that read together, live and laugh together.

August Reads

Listening: To lots of music but my heart stuck to Capable God by Judikay. I am still listening to sermons (one per day). I also started to listen in to some interesting podcasts to include but a few; The Baobab by Takudzwanashe and the African Blogsphere where I am a cohost with many others and founder Benjamin

Following:  Dr. Eunice Adubango, Jackie Hill Perry and Ps. Sarah Jakes Roberts, these women are a power house. God is using them to minister to specific parts of my life story and I can only be glad.

Watching:  All American series as it has even captured a piece of my fun nerves. These series have greatly opened my mind to different life experiences and I thank Otim for putting them on my laptop. I eagerly wait for Season 4 and until then, I live with this lesson from the series, “Always take the chance to make something good of yourself”. Watching it brought out all kinds of emotions as I would sometimes cry, laugh, call a friend and other times have mercy that I also intend to meet with Lynette and we just catchup on these series with a cup of coffee.

Creating: Lasting and beautiful memories with my friends be it physically or virtually. I have decided to love my friends more in the best way possible.

Mary, Gloria & I

Wanting: To host a dance party for myself and munch on some chicken pizza and orange juice. Sometimes hanging out with thyself helps me think better and appreciate myself more.

Wasting: No time forcing my way into people’s lives. Especially people who have clearly left me out or showed it that I am not welcome into their space. Time is precious and I am learning to invest it in people who are willing.

Hoping: That I can get to travel to for my vacation soon. This has been a prayer request for long and I know it shall come to pass. I need to breathe in some fresh air and touch some blue waters in the company of beautiful friends and nature.

Bookmarking: Many quotes from the I have read and the series I watched. My best quotes were, “To love is to be vulnerable” and “With you, I do not feel like a project to be fixed but a person to be loved” all from Jackie Hill Perry’s book titled GAY GIRL, GOOD GOD.

Wondering: Why people like to tell lies, be dishonest and ghost others. This breaks my heart and it keeps me away from some humans. Truthfulness is one of my core values that I am not ready to go against.

Asking God: For The fruit of patience, the gift of wisdom and revelation on what way to take as I continue to help people and systems perform better. I am also asking God for the gift of right people who will stand, tarry with me and hold me up.

Making a Toast: To achieving some personal goals for 2021 for example acquiring the East African Passport, Diploma in modern human resource management, a personal laptop and progressive debt clearing. God also revamped my space and I toast to a whole new space with red cherry blossom painted walls.

Marveling: At the loving and providential hand of God. Loving in a way that my friends have made me believe that distance is never a barrier to relationships. My friends are always available, find time to call me amidst their tight schedules and we have long conversations over life and others host me over for sleep overs which are usually very memorable. Providential in that God has always provided even for my interesting cravings, He is always on time and ready to love on me.

Thankful: To God for the 4th Anniversary celebrations by KIN Church. This is where and the vision I am serving in this season. Our main reason for existence as a church is to raise and deploy champions into the spheres of influence. We planted church on 27th August 2017 and it has only been God thus far. We held a celebration service on 29th August and it was glorious. I am also grateful to God for the beautiful things He is doing in my friends’ lives for example many are finding love, getting married, getting promotions at workplaces, increasing their income streams and others have gotten educational scholarships, graduated from university and gone ahead to serve their gifts to this generations

Noticing: God’s favor upon my life. The rate at which opportunities are being brood for me to take up…Only God. The latest was an opportunity to sit on a team of lions with me as the only lioness to launch a fundamental product. Watch this space as I shall write about it soon. God’s favor upon my life is so evident that I cannot help but notice it and give thanks.

Knowing: That God has a perfect plan for us. He holds our lives and future in His hands. Many times I am tempted to run on my own but hey, the Holy Spirit keeps reminding me of the truth that God gat my back.

Smelling:  Good news, more new beginnings, lots of healing and money making opportunities. I also smell lots of victories, elevation and collaborations.

Looking forward to: The stories that will be shared from the Afrobloggers collaboration with Qweshunga. This collaboration is a story telling challenge where people are being asked to share stories about their childhood game and later some will win prizes. I look forward to the fun in reading childhood stories about the games we played. Do you have a childhood story about the games you played and would want to share? Please read here for more information as regards the terms, conditions and submission procedures.
