Lessons on LOYALTY

Hello precious souls, how is your life? I hope you are better than yesterday. I come with apologies, I am sorry for delaying to post this week’s blog, I got caught up with work. That aside, today I come with lessons I have learned concerning loyalty as this has been a mojor topic for me in this season of growth. I pray you too can learn one or two lessons.

Loyalty

… by definition is faithfulness to commitments or obligations. … It is faithful adherence to a sovereign, government, leader, cause, etc.
Loyalty is being fully convinced in your heart about anything you are involved in. It is being fully persuaded so that when the accusations, trials and testings come you will be able to remain faithful to that which you’re involved in. It is knowing what you stand for and must be prepared to die for it.

Loyalty is God running to you when you choose to return home after squandering all the wealth He had given unto you.
Loyalty is Him kissing you, giving you a signet ring and throwing a celebration for your returning home.
Loyalty is Him clothing you with a royal rob and embracing you. Right there is God being loyal to His word that you are covered by His grace and His wrath was satisfied on the Cross. (paraphrased)

Loyalty is choosing to run with the vision of your workplace or organisation you serve with. It is taking on the values and bringing them to life. It is respecting the authority and ensuring that success is achieved. It is thinking of better ways to help the entity reach its goals and stewarding the resources available in a faithful manner. It is protecting the entity’s name and working on your charactor to be a better team member and utilising the learning opportunities availed. It is also being open to your senior about whatever is going on in a manner that is out of order.

Loyalty is acknowledging and trusting that you will see a victory by God’s grace.. It is living with the assurance that God will deliver what He promised. It is staying committed to the process and what God is saying. For example , Nehemiah, he stayed the course and kept rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem regardless of what his other friends came saying with voices of discouragement. Loyalty is knowing that that which God originates, He orchestrates. It is staying connected to the true vine, the true source and the solid foundation, that is – God.

Loyalty is being authentic to your friends and family with who you’re and where you are with God. It is sharing what God has directed you to do even if it could cause disruption in your relationship with them. Loyalty is boldly sharing your values with your friends and family and asking them to do the same so that you lead faithful lives. It is respecting one’s choice of vocation and going ahead to support them in the best way possible. It is literally having each other’s back.

Loyalty is choosing to follow instructions, leaving behind your personal causes and stepping into a new world of serving causes that benefit other people beyond you. It is stopping to catch fish and following someone who will teach you how to become fishers of men like the apostles did in the Bible. It is withstanding the tension of pursuing a dream bigger than you and being bold enough to say what you are meant to say. It is putting our pride to death and allowing to be led in some fronts.

Loyalty is choosing the spirit desires over the fleshly ones. It is choosing to forgive all the wrongs against you. It is allowing to show what God is saying in your identity and daily life for example walking in obedience and living a generous life full of love too. It is making fear your servant and going ahead to believe the greater version of yourself. It has more to do with letting go and letting God.

Therefore;

… it is my prayer that you shall choose to be loyal to what God is doing than to your need of wanting to take ownership. Whatever you set your heart to, I pray that you stick through even when storms and criticism arise until you receive information about your next assignment.

May we be a loyal generation!
