Hello Hello. Let me jazz you about October
This was a beautiful month. One where God birthed a new way of life in me. One filled with faith, hope, and love. I also received beautiful gifts in October and was able to spend time with each of my 3 besties. Life was good too as I got a new friend and a gig that gave me some ka money. When I started October, I declared it a happy month, and indeed, I was not only happy but also overjoyed. God was who He says He is to me…
To tell more of the story, here is how the happy month unfolded;
Loving: My reading and prayer moments! My reading moments got me rethinking some of my life decisions and also pushed me to think about actualizing some of my other dreams. As for my prayer moments, my conversations with God are just interesting. They are life, a movie I get to enjoy watching myself, and above all God is a good Father. I love His presence; He hugs me even when I come rumbling
Making: More time to take care of my hair, nails, and heart. My dreadlocks made 2years on 11th October and I love the growth. I was mostly pampering myself, giving no room for pain, and dealing with any stress that tried to get to me. God’s word was very helpful in this area.
Eating: Lots of irish potatoes. This is my best food and I love it most when it is boiled. I also ate lots of pancakes because my heart was craving them. There is a lady who makes tasty pancakes in Bugolobi, a trading center in Kampala, Uganda.
Drinking: A lot of bushera, some soda (the drug that comes with parties), and some water to cleanse my system.
Reading: Lots of interesting books and my best was one by Steven Pressfield titled “Turning PRO”. This book got me thinking a lot about my career choice and reasons as to why people fall prey to addictions.
Listening: To sermons from different leaders and lots of music. Music helps me stay sane. 5 minutes of listening to music are enough to bring my smile back. I was also listening to my spirit (inner man) a lot as I did life.
Following: Tony Otoa a Professional Speaker for his wisdom, Ps. Sarah Jakes Robert for her encouragement and Robert Kabushenga for the mentorship spaces he hosts on Twitter via #360Mentor. He hosted great people who shared great life nuggets that pushed me a step further into activating my dreams like starting a podcast that will be launched soon and organizing my mentoring plan so that I can reach out to more youth next year.
Watching: Lots of Nollywood movies. Their whole love drama, fashion, language, and storylines keep me alive and entertained. The more reason I want to visit Nigeria! Thanks be to God too; my lover – Bolaji Gelax is there and hey her web series-TANGERINE premiered recently. Catch it via her YouTube channel at Gelax Chatroom and enjoy. I have also been watching lots of TMI Podcast videos and Man Talk KE podcast videos. They both talk about issues that I relate to deeply. Feel free to check them out🤗🤗🤗
Creating: Lots of content for my blog, social media and upcoming new platforms.
Wanting: To travel out of Uganda. I want to visit and swim in ocean waters. I eagerly wait to chill next to blue waters and in white sand. Oh, what a day it shall be!
Wasting: No time on dishonest tongues. I will always go for truthfulness and loyalty. I have no time dealing with tongues that tell lies. I gladly let liars sleep.
Hoping: That God continues to heal all who are sick, burdened, stressed, or going through disappointments. I believe He will do so. I also hope to keep taking care of my nails. I love them happier.
Wondering: Why it is hard for some people to practice what they preach. Like, WHY? Being a person who takes people at their word, I get pat tabbed each time people’s actions do not match their words/message. So yeah, I hope I find answers to this.
Bookmarking: Quotes and lessons from my devotions and reading moments.
Making a Toast: To The Afrobloggers Awards 2021. Nominations happened in October and we were notified on 31/10/2021 that the finalists would be announced after some hours. Fast forward, the announcement was made on 2/11/2021 and my blog made it to the Finalists under the Expressive Category.👏👏👏 Thanks so much for nominating me and I encourage you to go on and vote for me using this link. Thankful: To God for beautiful friends that are gold. My friends are the best God knew I needed in this moment of my life. Through thick and thin, they are always there for me loving me generously with prayers and hugs, and opportunities to grow. I pray I continue to be a great friend to them too. I also thank God for my new friend who is a great photographer, visionary and keeps me laughing hard. A good and genuine laugh is healthy.
Marveling: At the providential and loving hand of God. If I am to sing that this year is my year, then it is because of God. He has made a way for me where I had lost it. He has dressed me with favor and shielded me from harm. He has protected my loved ones and provided for me food to eat, work to do, and people to love.
Knowing: That I am destined for greatness and I shall make it to the top. I just need to have faith and act on my convictions and produce results.
Smelling: Good news, more money-making opportunities, abundance, achievements, love, and more gifts life has to offer. It is an overflow of all blessings in my life!
Noticing: How people go the extra mile to love me in my language that is quality time. Yes, I am loved by the best. Thanks, Rogers for my zoo and fish outing, Twin for my staycation, Kuc for my sleepover, and ice cream dates, Vze and Puyo for the long personal conversations, and Benjamin for our daily talks. You are all my heroes🥂🥂🥂
Asking God: To heal my friends who are sick, increase customers for Tengye designs and Gwendoline’s birding & honey business. I also ask God for more favor, wisdom, knowledge, and understanding in my life. I am on a growth journey and these shall be helpful.
Looking forward to: Crowning the year in favor and bountifully. I also look forward to being a better friend to people God has blessed me with and a better ambassador to planet earth, fully serving my purpose of helping people and systems perform better.
… is here and I am operating ng under an open heaven. Yes, I am choosing to TRUST GOD for who He is. I am walking in abundance and I shall lack no good thing.
I will also receive my Photochromic eyeglasses this month and not only will my physical sight be made better but my spiritual vision too. Thanks to all my friends who financially made it possible for me to pay for them. My heart is full.
To you my lovelies,
… I speak fruitfulness into your lives. May this eleventh month (November) comes with good news and peace for you. Happy New Month!
I LOVE YOU!
Until then, stay safe, share some food with one who is hungry and remember to vote for this blog in the #AbAwards2021👏👏👏
PS: Moving forward, expect an article at the beginning of every week. The end (Friday plan) became hard for me to stick to thanks to having packed weekends.
I love you!
