STOCK TAKING 30

#2022 #Glory #Afroblogger

Hello Hello
December was glorious!!

It was full of precious memories. I spent some time with my friend at her place, I witnessed my friend’s traditional wedding, participated in a couple of reach outs and had a few meetups with friends. It was also a season where I had to depend on God to walk me through the journey of life as my heart almost fell in love.

To tell more of the story, here is how the last month of 2021 unfolded;

Part of my Inner circle

I was;

Loving: My time with God and my friends. My friends are jewels. God has used them to help me stay sane. As always, my hearty conversations with God were very mind-boggling as I would leave with like a zillion action points and beautiful clarity of what way to take.

Making: More time for my friends and me. I needed to be a little in my space as I closed a 365 days season.

Eating: Lots of pasted food. I enjoyed matooke and sweet potatoes all served with groundnut paste.

Drinking: A lot of water and some soda for the celebration. Hoping I can fully replace soda with juice in 2022.

Hoping I can take more juice.

Reading: People’s blogs and Instagram stories. I took a break from reading books because my body and brain needed to rest and meditate on all the work I had been reading the previous months.

Listening: To a lot of music and podcasts. Music is food to my soul and it heals. Music helps keep me sane.

Bookmarking: The verses in my Bible especially during devotion time.

Thankful: For life, good health, and protection from harm. I survived a terrible accident by a whisker and it was only an angel of God who told the bodaboda guy to stop for a moment.

Following: Lydia K and Murugi Munyi of the TMI podcast. I have also been following Street Churchh via Instagram and The ManTalk ke podcast. These podcasts made my very limited resting moments happier and knowledge-filled.

Watching: Some Nigerian movies and lots of Ugandan content via Pearl Magic on DSTV. I enjoy Jechili, a music program by Judithiana Namazzi aka Mrs. Ndugwa. Jechili gives me a feel of Ugandan music

Creating: Content for my blog, social media handles, and another client I help post content for.

Wanting: To go on vacation to a far destination with phones off and without my work laptop. Just so that I can fully rest. I am still waiting on God for this…

Wasting: No time on people who wake up and ghost their friends. Such ghosts, I am leaving them to be dead and gone. It hurts but letting go is the best medicine for me.

Hoping: That one day, Love, and genuine love will find me. I don’t like it when my heart hurts because of love.

Wondering: How someone can profess love to a fellow human being and then go mute after two weeks. You say you love me and then after 2weeks, you go mute… Wow! This got me tearing on 31st December 2021. My heart almost fell in love but it was a scam!

Making a Toast: To faithful, loving, and caring friends. Even with an interesting December, my friends especially Vze & Kuc were there to offer a shoulder for me to lean on.

Marveling: At the providential hand of God. God surprised me with a beautiful Christmas gift from one of my team leaders. It warmed my heart. I was also sponsored by a friend to attend the conversation between Jackie Asiimwe and Dr. Jennifer Nansubuga Makumbi the author of one of my favorite books, The First Woman. At this conversation, I met great creatives with whom we connected and will do mighty exploits.

Noticing: How I had so much work to do that I barely rested. I had end-of-year work reports to do and one of the places I serve with is a church that is still figuring out resting rhythms. I noticed how exhausted I was but couldn’t put work aside because it had to get done. In 2022, I intend to have a better resting versus working plan.

Dear Me!

Knowing: That, I am chosen, loved, and enough. These are words the Holy Spirit reminded me of as I opened my copy of the Dear Me book by Rita Auma. Those are the exact words she autographed and they reminded me of who I am. Through declaring them to myself, I felt much better

Smelling: Love, glorious moments, great opportunities to create wealth, beautiful gifts, and great memories with people come my way.

Asking God: For good health, wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. I also ask Him for favor to help me sail through 2022 gloriously.

Looking forward to: My 30th birthday on 15th May 2022. I know God is up to something. He is doing a new thing and I believe I will love it because it shall be good. I am ready for this year!

The Year 2022

… Is here and we are in January. Personally it is a year of glory. Glorious things shall happen to me and I shall walk in glory because I am blessed in the city and the nation. It shall reign goodness and victory in my life.
