Happy New year friends!
How is 2022 so far???
I hope and pray it is much better…
Today, I start with part 1 of the Hapi Nu Yah Series. This series is a warm-up for us as we start the new year... I intend to look back at what God did in 2021, share my intentions for this year and other declarations…
Focusing on what God did for me in 2021, here are some of the gifts I celebrate and thank God for;
• Growth of my Twitter family
My Twitter family finally hit the 1000th follower🥂🥂🥂 sometime last year and to me, this was an only God moment. Of people finding sense in what I share online and choosing to follow through warmed my heart. It was also an encouragement for me that the world is watching and I should keep doing my thing even in a better way. It gave me a push to organize my content more and also interact more with the community. I thank God for growth and oh, Have you joined the lion family? If you haven’t, press the follow button and read more from yours truly, J The Lioness (my Twitter username). Together we can help people and systems perform better even through what we share on our social media platforms. Thanks to you too for following me. I love you all.
• Being Nominated in the Afrobloggers Awards 2021
This was another moment of encouragement for me. It is very interesting and loving in a way, how God reassures me of His love and the fact that He sees what I am doing through my blog too
Being nominated in the Expressive category with many great creatives and making it to the top 3 was an endorsement for me. It was more of my readers tapping my shoulders and encouraging me to keep expressing myself through writing. I thank God for you my audience, it is because of you that we made it to the nomination and I believe together we are victors. Let’s keep learning, loving, and living better through this my blog – Gamba with J. You notice the name change🤗
• Meeting and connecting with new friends
Each year I wait on God for a gift of a human being. Us being relational beings called to influence, I believe we are meant to meet new people to do life with for particular purposes. Last year God blessed me with beautiful new friends who have not only loved me but also gone ahead to be channels of blessings to me. I love spending time with them and I thank God for each of their lives. Thanks, Wonani, Pollet, Patricia, Tikia, Moze, Nely Tiez, Lindsay, Linda, Bruce, and My lover Bolaji amongst the many for choosing to do life with me intentionally. I look forward to hitting more milestones with you in my life in 2022🤗
• Healing from all disease
I experienced God’s healing hand last year when I got infected with COVID-19. Particularly it was the delta variant that roamed around Uganda in June/July
It was a tough moment for me because as much as I was sick, I couldn’t tell my friends as most of them too were down with it and in worse conditions. (some of them are just knowing now, I am sorry dear, I needed to be strong for you). The helper in me wanted to stay strong for my friends and I asked God to help me too… Within 7days, I was healed fully with no symptoms behind, and my body was restored to full health. I thank God for that healing miracle. I also thank Him for healing all my friends.
I later got flu twice in the following months and God still healed me. He is my healer and protector and I am forever grateful. I am alive because of God.
• Ability to read
Reading is one of the ways I learn about life and a way I recoup to be stronger for the next day.
I thank God for giving me the physical and mental ability to read and the tenacity. At some point in the year, light was messing up my eyes but God provided photochromic glasses for me and this made my reading painless. My friend Puyo also took on the challenge to share books with me, books he had read. I would read and we discuss the lessons learned and he is still following me up to ensure that I fully implement what I learned. Isn’t this amazing?
At the start of 2021, I committed to reading six books a week and I successfully did that for 11months and rested in December. Reading makes Speaking and Writing easier. I am grateful to God for helping me do so. This year I will do one book per week to allow me to do other assignments that I have.
God blessed me in various ways and I have only shared 1%. I hope this encourages you to look back and be grateful for the good that you received, experienced, or gave. Feel free to share what you are grateful for in the comment section🤗
Testify and celebrate wins …
Gratitude is a must!
Just to Note:
You’re better off starting a relationship with Jesus Christ.
I LOVE YOU!
