Today, I end the Money matters series with Part 3. Part 1 can be read here and Part 2 here.
Part 3 entails the different practices that ought to be learned when dealing with money.
These are principles I have learned from reading books, hearing different people talk about them, and are those that I am practicing as I seek to be a better financial steward. Most definitely I am seeing results.
Financial / Money Practices to consider
It is a desirable thing to have access to finances whenever there is need and therefore the desire to steward money better. When dealing with money/finances, there are habits to practice so as to manage it effectively and yield formidably. These include the following;
You need to get around the right people if you are to manage your money.
You need people who;
🔺Are excelling financially
🔺Will push you to become better
🔺Will hold you accountable
🔺Will mention you in rooms of opportunities
The people you hang out with or spend time with should be the right people to help you be better when it comes to money matters. Check your circles, Are they helping you get better or?
Spend time with quality people.
• Get information
In all you do, gather all the information you can get about money matters. Information forms up the knowledge that helps you make decisions.
The beauty is that this information is all out there on the different media platforms, in books, podcasts, and even in the Bible.
I have shared a list of books you can read about financial management here. Check them out if you haven’t and I bet your mind will be transformed.
It is also imperative that you are equipped with current information on financial issues and therefore I encourage you to attend those conferences, webinars, or workshops. They are very informative and you can also get opportunities to meet various financial gurus that will challenge you to be better.
• Experiences through different environments
Get into new spaces. New environments give better experiences that come with better financial practices.
Examples of spaces you can join are
• Straight Forward Financial Growth Masterminds
• Investment clubs
Such spaces will spark you into greatness and help you achieve certain financial goals as you are exposed to information and certain skills of yours are enhanced.
They also act as networking spaces that can help you grow your clientele or be a means to your next opportunity or employer or business partner or financial mentor.
Get into better spaces, it is a good experience for your health.
• Financial recording
It is paramount that you keep your financial documents safe. That is your weekly expense sheets, receipts, invoices, and other financial documents.
You also need to get into the habit of intentionally tracking your money dealings most preferably every week as this will help you tell where you are, what you need to stop doing, and what you can do more or better as regards money.
Tracking expenses also helps you in planning for your future, personal evaluation, and also in noticing what God has done for you.
Question for you;
Which of the above practices do you need to develop as a habit?
Identify it and go ahead to put it into action.

• Push back poverty reflexes
• Work hard and smart
