April was a life changing month!
It started on a high with amazing dates with a little brother, a friend, and a visit to another friend.
One major thing that happened to me in April was the ability to speak myself out of a tough moment (one of disappointment) that almost pushed me into depression. By God’s grace, I was able to encourage myself in the Lord with Psalm 42 and chose to cultivate hope, Hope in God.
I spent the rest of the month trying to bring myself back to a steady life and am glad I was successful. I treasure my happiness and peace, and therefore, each time life knocks me down, I try to get back up. I had lots of solo dates, hung with friends, visited the beach, read, listened to music, and kept praying.
I was also blessed with a new friend, one who listens to my interesting dramatic stories, dares me, makes me laugh, is very available and above all , he gives warm hugs. Fat love to you Daniel Nsubuga 💯
To tell more of the April story, here is how it unfolded;
Loving: My solo dates because I get to connect with myself, and my conversations with my close friends because they birth better revelations about life and keep me in check. Conversations with my friends are therapy for me too
Making: More time for God. Each time I need strength and hope, I run to God. I am also bettering my relationship with God and hence I need to spend more time with Him.
Eating: Less food… Guess I’m at that point in life where meals aren’t a must. When I try to eat, it’s matooke with groundnut paste. I hope I get better at eating.
Drinking: A lot of millet porridge with milk. This is my darling of late. I like to joke that it tastes like hot yummy ice cream for me 😋.
Reading: My Bible, devotions, tweets, blogs, and books. Reading is one of my medicines that helps me heal from different infirmities.
Listening: To lots of sermons to build my spiritual life. I was also listening to many praise and worship melodies, people’s life stories, and all of these have been a source of courage to help me run through life.
Bookmarking: Quotes in the books I read and verses in the Bible .
Thankful: For constant provision by God and love from my friends. I am blessed with the most amazing humans for friends. These show up for and with me readily. I am also thankful for the gift of life and the ability to learn how to drive motor vehicles. A friend paid for my driving school and I attended all my driving lessons for the month. Feel free to gift me a car on my birthday, I can drive💃💃💃
Following: Ps. Sarah Jakes Roberts for her encouraging sermons, Tony Otoa for his knowledge and wisdom, the TMI podcast KE for their candid conversations, and Lynette’s Instagram stories for inspiration and holy laughter.
Watching: Many TikTok videos for entertainment, YouTube videos for learning purposes, and my life (yes, been watching my life). I have also been watching Soccer online and at The SMACK league
Wanting: To go on vacation to a far destination with my phones off and without my work laptop. Just so that I can fully rest. I am still waiting on God for this… Oh how sweet it shall be, a memory I shall forever hold dear in my heart.
Wasting: No time on unfocused people. This is mainly in regards to people who show up with only hi texts in my DMS. Of they have nothing more to say. I waste no time on such.
So, I am putting more energy into focused people. It’s time for me to eat solid food, milk season is done.
Hoping: That I experience a move of God in my life sooner than I expect. I also hope to live long and significantly.
Wondering: Why people never keep their word and never say anything about their dishonesty. This baffles me, it sends me to pits.
Marveling: At the loving hand of God. If I am smiling, it is because I bask in the ever-present love of God. I also marvel at how far Gamba with J – the blog has come👏. This is my happy place that I commit to keep building as I grow.
Making a Toast: To life, new friendships, new opportunities to learn, new life-changing ideas, and glorious gifts.
Noticing: How it is important to spend time alone reflecting and organizing your life. Organized things perform better.
Knowing: That there is so much I need to invest in the journey to becoming. There is a cost attached to each season in my life and I have to incur it. Greatness is achieved at a cost.
All I need is to stay consistent in the journey of becoming and practice principles not feelings.
Smelling: Good news, great opportunities to create wealth, love, and amazing gifts
Asking God: For a Long and significant life, wisdom, favor, and a glorious finish to this year. I also ask God for divine strength and courage to give birth to all the ideas I am pregnant with starting with my podcast that will be launched on my birthday.
Looking forward: To new beginnings and the celebrations that come with May. May is my birth month and woop woop, I am excited about this season… Looking forward to intentionally celebrating life and my little friendsis who is having her traditional wedding on May 14th. I also hope to spend more time with my friends 💃
… Is here and I choose to hope in God alone. I choose to take God at His word and trust that He has the best plans for me.
I am blessed in this month, I attract good tidings, love, money, and great minds. I will surely be pleasantly surprised by God and I shall enter into new open doors. I shall taste good things and wisdom is my portion.
To you my friend;
I pray for you to receive new blessings and better opportunities to lead life in a better way. May May bring you better light, love and healing.
You are worth all the love and good things!
Happy New Month!
Just to Note:
You’re better off starting a relationship with Jesus Christ.
I LOVE YOU!
