Hello Hello
May was my birth month!

It started on a beautiful note with me spending the first two days alone while on a staycation. Time spent alone refills my tank.
It being my birth month, it was filled with lots of celebrations from myself and other beautiful souls that found it worth honoring me with awesome gifts, experiences, and moments. I also launched a podcast GAMBA WITH J hosted by me via anchor💃💃💃
One thing that stood out for me was the fact that I love myself and I’m grateful to God for enabling me to do this. He fills my cup so that I can easily go out there and love on others. There are certain things I do that communicate love to me and I intend to keep them so that I am whole enough to help other people perform better.
I spent the whole month jazzing with God about the last 3 decades of my life, these conversations were full of gratitude, crying moments, laughter, revelations, and the exchange of burdens for peace. I loved them and still do.
I was also blessed with a new friend, one who just cracks me up! I find this friend so humorous, creative, and well-read, the kind that fascinates me.

To tell more of the May story, here is how it unfolded;

I was;

Loving: My me time, #May is the month where I concentrate so much on building, evaluating, and organizing myself. I loved focusing on myself and this introduced me to versions of me I did not know about. This me time also came with many alone dates that I loved, there is a rare kind of magic I experience when I sit in a beautiful place to enjoy a beautiful meal by myself. It’s heavenly!

Making: More time for God and the work I committed to doing. Thank God for schedules, these make my life easy as they enable be set time for my different priorities.

Eating: A lot of chicken and fries. This is my other comfort food. It made it to the list because most of the meals I had while on alone dates or meet-ups had them as part of the package.

Drinking: A lot of grape juice and water. I thank God that I’m on a journey of leaving soda for real. I feel proud each time I’m offered soda and I say No. It’s empowering

Reading: Books, blogs, and tweets. My favorite book was Ego is the Enemy by Ryan Holiday and my favorite quote from the book was “There is no one to perform for, there’s just work to be done and lessons to be learned in this life.”.

Listening: To God speak to me.

Bookmarking: Quotes and lessons from the books and blogs I was reading.

Creating: Creating content for different social media platforms I am responsible for.

Watching: A lot of Nigerian movies, TikTok videos, and YouTube content.

Following: Ps. Sarah Jakes Roberts for her encouraging sermons, Tony Otoa for his knowledge and wisdom, the TMI podcast KE and the over25 channel for their candid conversations. I was also following Worship Harvest Ministries for their #honor series that introduced me to new revelations. 

Wanting: To go on a vacation to rest and rejuvenate. My body, mind, and soul need it.

Wasting: No time pleading with people for their presence. I am now at peace being with just me or the available people.

Wondering: Why do people keep thinking I am dating all my male friends?

Thankful: To God for the gift of life, available friends, a very loving family, and my spiritual parents and beautiful souls that celebrated my birthday with me. I am also thankful to God for the peace He is restoring and for dressing me with favor. My whole life evidences the favor of God. I thank Him for my 3 friends who too celebrated their birthdays in May.

Hoping: That the global economy gets back to stability. The whole inflation with or without cause and explanation is giving people hard time. I hope a solution is found soon.

Marveling: At the providential hand of God. God has met my needs in supernatural ways. I stand in awe of Him.

Making a Toast: To growing a year older with more joy, peace, and love. I make a toast to healthy and glorious living. My life is taking a new shift and I await

Noticing: How I have been tying on some two human beings. More of me thinking we are at par yet these people’s hearts are very far from me. It was a rude awakening!

Knowing: That I am loved and highly favored of the Lord. I also know that I have a tribe that loves and cares about me.

Smelling: A road trip, great money-making opportunities, beautiful gifts, and sudden heavenly miracles. Those that shall leave me in awe.

Asking God: For wisdom, good health, and peace to all who need it. I am also asking God for boldness to tell of His goodness and financial breakthrough to help me bless more souls for His glory.

Looking forward: To a glorious season as I am still celebrating my birthday till the end of June. I also look forward to reading all the #WinterABC2022 stories as told by the different creatives. The Winter ABC is a season of storytelling where creatives share stories with the world each day of the week in June. This is organized by the Afrobloggers community.

… Is here and I am excited to experience the joy that comes with her. It shall be a season of giving thanks because God is doing amazing things. New opportunities will locate me and I shall be glad I’m alive. More than ever, I am committed to living life the best way I know-how.

I pray for you to receive peace and experience the faithfulness of God. The Lord is your shepherd, you shall not want.
