We left hospital for home
But there was lots of dust at home(construction was happening) and I couldn’t expose the fresh site to cement
I wondered where I could go and stay safely🤔
My bestie’s home came to mind but I needed to ask for the offer , something I was dreading
Considering even the fact that she was away on a work retreat.

My mum on the other hand was so positive that she would let me stay there
It’s my mum that called and my love said it’s ok for me to go to her family home
In that moment I felt relieved and loved.
I literally felt a stitch heal
I went to Kiwanga with my kid sister, she was my first non medical nurse
She listened to all my unclear communication, very boring
And helped me run all the errands I needed to run that weekend
She stayed with me till my bestie returned from her retreat on Sunday
She lovingly applied ointment to my open wound
How she did it, #Only God👏
My bestie returned on the night of fourth December and my sister showed her how to apply medicine to the wound
A skill she learned asap and started to do immediately my kid sister left on Fifth December.
Up until now, I don’t know the courage and bravery that my bestie and kid sister had
Despite the wounds having been openly dressed
These two ladies lovingly applied medicine for me..
They cleaned and massaged my face with love and delight
They were my beacon of hope♥️
My mouth couldn’t close
I could barely hold saliva in my mouth
Mainly Because the lower lip was badly shuttered
What pained me most was failing to drink my favorite juice from CJ’s
Moreso, For the first 2.5 weeks in December,
I was not eating solid food
I was drinking water, warm tea and juice using a straw
I could barely chew
I remember crying on Eleventh December after failing to chew just one fry from a KFC streetwise pack
Life was hard!😭😭😭

I could not pronounce some letters of the Alphabet like f, v, w,
My words were fuzzy,
I gave up on doing the daily nuggets videos for TikTok
Also
I couldn’t stand looking at a shuttered face in the mirror
Thankfully, pain left on day 4 after surgery and I stopped taking painkillers there and then…
The active pain was gone but the treatment continued.
Watch out for Part 3, Part 1 can be read here💯
