Shukrani is a Swahili word for gratitude/thank you / appreciation …
Last week on Saturday, I added another year to my significant life and in honor of this, I continue to share with the world my gratitude list under the Shukrani Series. God has done and is still doing amazing things and today I come bearing part 2. If you did not read the first part, please find it here so that you are in sync with me as I download part 2 below;
Someone I spoke to: Tumukunde Benjamin. A great leader, life coach and friend. I thank God for him because he not only called out the leader in me the first time I spoke to him (and continues to do that) but also encouraged me to get onto a journey of self-discovery and be able to share my life story without it having a negative effect on me. Through him, I was reminded that I am a star and I should shine so bright that when people see me, they see God at work. He is one of the great generals that God has used to grow my leadership skills. He is a great friend too who asks the hard questions and pushes me to always having clarity in my life. For all this, I thank God for him. He is soon marrying his beautiful wife Flavia and I have seen God’s faithfulness in their preparations.
A dream of mine: To write at least 100 books before I pass onto glory. The goal being to die empty, I believe I have had so many learning moments and testimonies of God’s faithfulness that I believe can be preserved better through books for the next generation to read of and be encouraged. I greatly thank God for the ability and I shall keep writing for as long as I live.
Products that make my life better: My smart phone and Laptop. I thank God for always providing for me a phone and laptop to use. The phone greatly makes my life better when it comes to communicating with the world through the different media platforms and also in capturing beautiful memories of life in form of images and videos. It also helps me blog better and create great images through Canva an app I installed onto it. My laptop is my other darling that makes my working life better as it makes preparation of different documents easier. It also makes it easier to attend zoom meetings and pursue various online courses. Surely, God has generously provided for me through these products and I am so grateful.
Something I am looking forward to: Marriage. It is very interesting how I am sure I shall succeed when it comes to purpose and life dreams and yet still chicken out when the topic of marriage shows up. Deep down in my heart I know I shall get married and I thank God daily for my husband. However, the reality of me being single for over many years now sometimes leads me into temptation and I start to doubt the possibility of me getting married because of the situations I have gone through. Regardless, I thank God for marriage and look forward to it. Waking up knowing that there is a vison I need to support with my personal purpose is heavenly. Marriage is a beautiful thing created by God and to show forth God’s glory. One thing I have and will always believe is that I am someone’s good thing and he shall obtain more favor from God when he finds me. I exist because there was a marriage that happened and therefore there is no reason as to why I should not reproduce after my own kind through marriage. My marriage shall be glorious and I thank God for that.
Favorite time of the day: Early morning (00:00 – 06:00hrs). This is my most sacred time when I achieve a lot and therefore I guard it jealously . It is the time I talk to God most, be very creative and make the most important decisions. I receive revelation and visions throughout the day but those I receive during this time be exceptional. Even the people I let in that window are very special people to me. It is my most active time of the day and I am grateful to God for letting me enjoy such impacting moments in my life.
A song I love: I overcame by Ada Ehi Moses. I fell in love with this song in 2020 and ever since then it has been my life declaration and anthem. Each time I am discouraged or taking on a seemingly challenging task, this song is sung in my spirit and peace shows up in full measure. Through this song, God reminds me of the fact that I am more than a conqueror mainly because He won the Victory before I was born. It also reminds me that because Jesus Christ lives, I live too and therefore I should walk by faith in His finished work. I also bear many testimonies related to this song hence very grateful to God for using Ada to minister to me personally.
Something beautiful that I saw: An image from google. This image had three persons seated together watching the sunset. This clearly reminded me of how happy I be when I rest with my two close friends. It is usually heavenly and I thank God for such human beings who are fully sold out to ensuring that I am safe and have what I need.
Something I often take for granted: Ability to sleep. I usually take this for granted but when I come to think of its importance, I am grateful to God. Many people out there are suffering form or with insomnia so me being able to sleep is a big deal. Even when I have many things trying to stress me, God still gives me sleep and I usually wake up refreshed. Sleep is where I receive messages from God through dreams and it is also a healthy habit that relaxes the body and relieves it of toxic hormones. I thank God for each time I get to sleep especially not with all these assignments that tempt me to stay awake.
A place which brings me joy: The Arms of my lover. Yes! I partly receive and give love through touch and therefore being wrapped in the ARMS of my lover is heavenly, a place I want to stay at or in forever. Just like how I am wrapped in the everlasting arms of God, nothing feels home like being in the arms of my lover. This brings so much joys thanks to the love and warmth i find there. If I had an option to choose where to die from, that would be it, in the arms of the one that loves me. Such a place is so secure for me and I cannot help it but thank God for such spaces here on earth through His people.
Skills: Leadership and organization. Call me on time to lead or organize and I will gladly show up without thinking twice. The ability to do this is what I thank God for daily. Being able to get people from one point in their life to another brings the Lord’s purpose for my life alive and through organization I am able to help them perform better to their maximum potential. I believe we are each born leaders but in a specific field which makes us followers in areas where we are not stars. The ability to lead even while I am serving is something I thank God for. My love for organization usually finds me in assistant roles but hey, sometimes I have led greatly through it and my leadership skills have grown greatly through it. For each of the above skills, I am grateful to God.
Do you you have a person you spoke to and you are glad you did? Please say a prayer for him/ her or reach out and find out how he or she is doing?
