The month of April ushers me into my birth month and by default the question of whether I have used my time well or how I have used my time always lingers in my mind.
In my attempt to answer the question this month, I landed on the notes I jotted down about time management that I choose to share with you in a 3 part series so that we can learn or be reminded together.
Today, we start off with Part 1, a basic introduction on the need to use your time well.
To live an effective kingdom life, you need to learn and apply the various principles of managing and redeeming your time. You have to be intentional about maximizing the time you have been given while still here on earth. Redeeming time means owning again what you lost. It is you designing your days to create value in your life with the time you have.
Everything you will ever be or are now depends on how you use the time you have at hand. You should redeem the time because the days are evil. If there is time you have at the moment, use it and use it profitably. Take, for example, if you are a student, read because it is the season. If you are an employee or business person going to work, while at it make all the necessary networks and friends you can as you may meet one of your future clients or recommenders from such networks. Use your time, do not just lazy around or just sit doing nothing just because you have lost it in life or think are incompetent. Let us say you are a child at home, be the best you can be so that when your parents see the person you are becoming, they can say Glory to God.
Interestingly, both calibers of people be it rich or poor have the same time allotted to them as highlighted in Ecclesiastes 9:11, “I returned and saw under the sun that- The race is not to the swift, Nor the battle to the strong. Nor bread to the wise, Nor riches to men of understanding, Nor favor to men of skill; But time and chance happen to them all.” Therefore, this means that you need to plan on how you intend to utilize your time given the seasons. If there is that skill you have always wanted to learn, go and learn it while you still can. Do it now!
“A person who does not value time will usually end up disorganized or even miss out on life’s major blessings and opportunities.”
Let us be reminded that, what you are doing now is the foundation for what is going to happen tomorrow. Making fire now clearly means that there is going to be food in the next one hour or so, if you are working hard on your business right now, will highly produce a successful entity tomorrow. Time is not going to be there for you always. Use it and use it profitably.
What are you doing with your time now?
Find some time and evaluate how you’re using your time. This will help you make better choices for a better life.
Watch out for part 2 and 3
Just to Note:
You’re better off starting a relationship with Jesus Christ.
I LOVE YOU!
